Biography

She participated in voice actor auditions of Di Gi Charat on May 2, 1999, and she won the Special Jury Prize. She voiced Puchiko in the English dubbed release of Leave it to Piyoko, making her the first and one of the few Japanese voice actors to have reprised a role in English in addition to the original Japanese performance. She was not able to record for the English dub of the Di Gi Charat TV series because of a scheduling conflict.[2] She was affiliated with Mausu Promotion since the start of her voice acting career until August 2015 when she became affiliated with Aoni Production.

Personal life

During her time in high school, she stayed in Pennsylvania, where she participated in a homestay program to learn English.[3][4] She takes time off to practice English when she's not busy with voiceover work.[4] She has a younger brother named Chiharu Sawashiro who is also a voice actor.[5]

Sawashiro announced her marriage in 2014.[1] In 2018, Sawashiro's fellow voice actress Mayumi Tanaka announced that Sawashiro had successfully given birth to her first child.

Ivy Valentine

Isabella Valentine (イザベラ・バレンタイン, Izabera Barentain), commonly called Ivy (アイヴィー, Aivī), is a fictional character in the Soulcalibur series of video games. Created by Namco's Project Soul division, she first appeared in the original Soulcalibur and its subsequent sequels, later appearing in various merchandise related to the series. She was voiced in Japanese by Yumi Tōma between Soulcalibur and Soulcalibur III, Kanako Tōjō between Soulcalibur Legends and Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny, and Miyuki Sawashiro in Soulcalibur V, and Soulcalibur VI; in English, she was voiced by Renee Hewitt in Soulcalibur II and Lani Minella for the remainder of the series.

The illegitimate daughter of undead pirate Cervantes de Leon, Ivy was raised by a noble family until her father became obsessed with the cursed sword, Soul Edge, leading to his death and later her mother's. Desiring to destroy the sword, she creates a segmented, animated viscous blade-whip, only to become Soul Edge's pawn and learn that it intends to use her as its next host. After an attack by Cervantes results in the loss of her soul, Ivy uses a temporary artificial one to keep herself alive, and continues after the blade.

Since her introduction, Ivy has been well received, considered both an attractive and strong female character by various sources. She has also been included on various countdown lists regarding sexy video game characters. Some have examined the character in the context of the series and video games in general, as well as when compared to other video game related sex symbols such as Lara Croft. Her role as a sex symbol has been discussed by said sources and the media, as some argued that her appearance goes "too far" while others felt it helps to define her character.

Lady Jewelpet

Lady Jewelpet (Japanese: レディ ジュエルペット, Hepburn: Redi Juerupetto) is a 2014 an anime series co-produced by Zexcs and Studio Comet. The series is directed by Itsuro Kawasaki (Chrome Shelled Regios, Arc the Lad) and written by Natsuko Takahashi (07-Ghost, Tokyo Magnitude 8.0). Original character designs were done by Arco Wada (Fate/Extra, Fate/Grand Order), while the designs for the Jewelpets, like the previous five seasons before it, are done by Tomoko Miyakawa.
