Dave Finlay

David Finlay Jr. (born 31 January 1958) is a Northern Irish professional wrestling trainer, producer and retired professional wrestler. He is currently signed to WWE as a producer. He is perhaps best known for his time in World Championship Wrestling (WCW). He has held over 20 championships around the world throughout his career, including the WCW World Television Championship and the WWE United States Championship.

Starting his career in his father's wrestling promotion at the age of 16 in 1974, Finlay went onto mainstream success in WCW until it folded in 2001. He went on to work as a trainer WWE upon the closing of WCW. In 2005 he debuted as a wrestler for WWE going on to having decent mid-card success for his age. After being let go from WWE he wrestled in the independent circuit for a short time, before retiring in 2012 and becoming a backstage producer for WWE.

Harold John Finlay

Harold John Finlay (22 March 1901 – 7 April 1951) was a New Zealand palaeontologist and conchologist. He was born in Comilla, India (now Bangladesh), on 22 March 1901.

His main research interest was marine and non-marine malacofauna of New Zealand, both recent and fossil. He also specialised on fossil Foraminifera.

He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of New Zealand in 1939, and was awarded the scoiety's Hector Memorial Medal in 1941.

He is also known for his work in Impact Wrestling under the ring name Swoggle. He debuted in WWE in 2006, allied with Finlay. Hornswoggle won the Cruiserweight Championship in its first stint, was erroneously revealed as Vince McMahon's storyline illegitimate son, and was exposed as the Anonymous Raw General Manager who had controlled the Raw brand from June 21, 2010 to July 18, 2011.

Teenage Fanclub are a Scottish alternative rock band formed in Bellshill in 1989. As of 2019, the band's lineup consists of Blake, McGinley, Francis MacDonald (drums, vocals), Dave McGowan (bass, vocals) and Euros Childs (keyboards, vocals).In concert, the band usually alternate among its songwriters, giving equal playing time to each one's songs. Although often pegged as alternative rock, the group have incorporated a wide variety of elements from various music styles in their songs.Teenage Fanclub have had a succession of drummers, including Francis MacDonald, Brendan O’Hare and Paul Quinn, who left the band after recording the album Howdy!. Quinn was replaced by the returning Francis MacDonald. Keyboardist Finlay MacDonald (no relation) has also been a member. Virgil Finlay (July 23, 1914 – January 18, 1971) was an American pulp fantasy, science fiction and horror illustrator. He has been called "part of the pulp magazine history ... one of the foremost contributors of original and imaginative art work for the most memorable science fiction and fantasy publications of our time." While he worked in a range of media, from gouache to oils, Finlay specialized in, and became famous for, detailed pen-and-ink drawings accomplished with abundant stippling, cross-hatching, and scratchboard techniques. Despite the very labor-intensive and time-consuming nature of his specialty, Finlay created more than 2600 works of graphic art in his 35-year career.The Science Fiction Hall of Fame inducted Finlay in 2012.
