Chen Jianbin

Chen Jianbin (born June 27, 1970) is a Chinese actor active in television and film. He is most notable for the portrayal of Cao Cao in the 2010 television series Three Kingdoms; as well as his performance in Decade of Marriage, Qiao's Grand Courtyard and Empresses in the Palace.

Chen married his Qiao's Grand Courtyard costar Jiang Qinqin in 2006.

Driverless (film)

Driverless is a 2010 Chinese romance film directed by Zhang Yang and starring Liu Ye, Ruby Lin, Gao Yuanyuan, Li Xiaoran, Chen Jianbin and Wang Luodan. Director Zhang Yang says that this movie is an updated version of his 1997 film "Spicy Love Soup", and it presents love stories set in our current "material era."It is composed of three separate stories in modern society. Jade Goddess of Mercy or Goddess of Mercy (Chinese: 玉觀音; pinyin: Yù Guān Yīn) is a 2003 film directed by Ann Hui, starring Zhao Wei and Nicholas Tse.

It was adapted from a novel from Chinese writer Hai Yan. The title comes from a necklace featuring Kuan Yin, the "Goddess of Mercy".

In 2003 Hai Yan also produced a TV serial based on his novel, starring Sun Li.[1]

People Mountain People Sea (人山人海, Ren shan ren hai) is a 2011 Chinese film directed by Cai Shangjun. It was selected for the main competition at the 68th Venice International Film Festival.

Qiao's Grand Courtyard (TV series)

Qiao's Grand Courtyard is a 2006 Chinese historical drama television series. The series is set during the late Qing Dynasty and chronicles the life of Shanxi financier, businessman and philanthropist Qiao Zhiyong (1818―1907), with artistic license applied. Part of the series was shot at Qiao's Compound, which was Qiao Zhiyong's ancestral home at Qi County, Shanxi (it was also the chief location for Zhang Yimou's 1991 film Raise the Red Lantern).The series debuted on CCTV-1 on February 13, 2006 and comprises 45 episodes. It was directed by Hu Mei, known for her historical dramas Yongzheng Dynasty (1997) and The Emperor in Han Dynasty (2005).

Lead actor and actress Chen Jianbin and Jiang Qinqin won the Audience's Favorite Actor/Actress Awards at the 2006 Golden Eagle TV Art Festival for their roles in this series. The pair was married in 2006. Qiao's Grand Courtyard clinched Best Drama Series at the 1st Seoul Drama Awards.

Three Kingdoms is a 2010 Chinese television series based on the events in the late Eastern Han dynasty and the Three Kingdoms period. The plot is adapted from the 14th century historical novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms and other stories about the Three Kingdoms period. Directed by Gao Xixi, the series had a budget of over 160 million RMB (30 million USD) and took five years of pre-production work. Shooting of the series commenced in October 2008, and it was released in China in May 2010.Three Kingdoms set a record as the most expensive small screen series so far in China's television history, having been sold to four regional TV broadcasters at the price of 160 million yuan. The series was a commercial success in China and dominated ratings, but has caused controversy among fans with many commenting that the TV series has veered too far from the classic novel and real history. It has also been sold to over 20 countries, earning an estimated 800 million RMB (133.3 million USD) in total as of May 2012.

Wang Wufu (Chinese: 王伍福; pinyin: Wāng Wǔfú; born 1948) is a Chinese actor. He won the 11th Golden Phoenix Award, and received the Golden Eagle Award nomination for Best Actor in 2008.
