Bhind Lok Sabha constituency (Hindi: भिंड लोक सभा निर्वाचन क्षेत्र) is one of the 29 Lok Sabha constituencies in Madhya Pradesh state in central India. This constituency was reserved for the candidates belonging to the Scheduled castes in its first year as a stand-alone constituency, henceforth it became a general constituency. This constituency covers the entire Bhind and Datia districts.

Bhind Vidhan Sabha constituency is one of the 230 Vidhan Sabha (Legislative Assembly) constituencies of Madhya Pradesh state in central India. This constituency came into existence in 1951, as one of the 79 Vidhan Sabha constituencies of the erstwhile Madhya Bharat state.

Bhind district

Bhind District is a district of Madhya Pradesh state in central India of Chambal division. The town of Bhind is the district headquarters.

Bhind District is situated in Chambal region in the northwest of the state. The geographical coordinates of the district are Latitude 26°36' N and Longitude 78°46' E. It is bounded by Agra, Etawah, Jalaun and Jhansi districts of Uttar Pradesh state to the north and the east, and the Madhya Pradesh districts of Datia to the south, Gwalior to the southwest, and Morena to the west. The geography of the district is characterized by uneven ravines, plain fertile fields and scanty forests. The total area of the district is 4,459 km².

The soil of Bhind is very fertile and is drained by the Chambal, Kali Sind, Kunwari or Kwari, Pahuj and Baisali rivers and by an extensive canal system. Formerly there were four tehsils, Bhind, Mehgaon, Gohad and Lahar, but at present there are eight tehsils: Bhind, Ater, Gormi, Mehgaon, Gohad, Lahar, Mihona, and Raun. The district is part of the Chambal Division. Bhagirath Prasad is M.P. (Member of Parliament) from Bhind. However Bhind is a predominantly yadav, brahmin, kachwah(Rajawat) and Bhadouria Rajputs dominated region. lodhi,

Bhumihaar, Dhobi are also present in sizable number.

Chambal division

Chambal Division is an administrative geographical unit of Madhya Pradesh state of India. Morena is the administrative headquarters of the division. As of 2012, the division consists of the three districts of Bhind district, Morena and Sheopur.

Jhansi district

Jhansi district is one of the districts of Uttar Pradesh state in northern India. The city of Jhansi is the district headquarters. The district is bordered on the north by Jalaun District, to the east by Hamirpur and Mahoba districts, to the south by Tikamgarh District of Madhya Pradesh state, to the southwest by Lalitpur District, which is joined to Jhansi District by a narrow corridor, and on the east by the Datia and Bhind districts of Madhya Pradesh. Population 19,98,603 (2011 census). Lalitpur District, which extends into the hill country to the south, was added to Jhansi District in 1891, and made a separate district again in 1974.

Kaptan Singh Solanki

Kaptan Singh Solanki (born 1 July 1939) is the Governor of Tripura and an Indian politician of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Since August 2009 he is the member of the Parliament of India representing Madhya Pradesh State in the Rajya Sabha, the upper house until May 2014.

He studied at Vikram University, Ujjain, P.G.B.T. College, Ujjain and Maharani Luxmibai College, Jiwaji University, Gwalior. He served as teacher in Banmor in Morena district during 1958–1965 period and as Professor at P.G.V. College Gwalior from 1966–2000. He has been appointed the Governor of Haryana to replace Jagannath Pahadia whose five years terms ends on 26 July 2014.He has been married to Shrimati Rani Solanki since 1959, and has two daughters and three sons with her.

Mau is a tehsil in Bhind district in Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. The soil of Mau is very fertile and is drained by the Zilmil river. Formerly mau was part of Raun constituency but now mau is a part of Gohad constituency. Lal Singh Arya is an MLA and Minister of Madhya Pradesh Govt. The mau is part of the Chambal Division. Bhagirath Prasad Singh is an MP from Bhind.

Vijaya Raje Scindia
