Adama Traoré (born 28 June 1995) is a Malian footballer who plays as a midfielder for Cercle Brugge on loan from Ligue 1 club AS Monaco.

Club career

Born on 28 June 1995, in Bamako, Mali, Traoré began his career playing in the youth ranks of the Bamako JMG Academy before joining Malian Première Division club AS Bakaridjan.[1] In January 2014, he signed for Ligue 1 club Lille and was immediately loaned out to Belgian Second Division club Royal Mouscron-Péruwelz. He made his Ligue 1 debut on 24 September 2014 against OGC Nice in a 1–0 away defeat.[2] On 7 January 2015, Traoré scored his first competitive goal at senior level for Lille in a 1–0 home win over Évian in the league.

In January 2019, he joined on loan Cercle Brugge from AS Monaco.[3]

International career

Traoré was a member of the Mali national under-20 team for the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand.[4] During the competition, he scored 4 goals and had 3 assists, helping Mali win the bronze medal and earning himself the Adidas Golden Ball as the best player in the competition.[5]
